Celestially Clean House And Other Pics!

SO first of all I got to see Sister Resquín again this week!! This time we took pictures. :) Zone Conference was amazing, I Iearned so much about how to follow the spirit and teach people and not lessons. We did three practices and with my luck I got to teach Presidente Piros and then Sister Piros and THEN the assistants. I was so nervous but it was a good learning opportunity.  Sister Piros told me after that when I was teaching her about the first vision she had a sacred experience and thanked me for sharing my testimony with her.  I love sister Piros. oh, I also earned a celestial house certificate!! woohoo!! (yes mom, my house is celestially clean).
About Altivo, he was supossed to get baptised on Saturday, but he went to the hospital instead. And so long story short we have to wait a couple of weeks untill he can get baptised. The good news is that he is super excited!! Yesterday we were talking with him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he said, `yeah so ive already been baptised 3 times but this time will actually count.` And I was like, `uh, yeah basically that´s what we are trying to say!` So out of everything we taught him thats what he took away and honestly Im not complaining. Funny guy.
Before I go I just want to share something I learned this week about the Savior and His character.  Only He was able to sacrifice for our sins because He was the only person who overcame all of them. He was subjected to temptations of every kind, but never forgot who He is. He never forgot about us. He knew that the only way He would be able to save each one of us was if he stayed perfect. He chose to stay perfect His whole life so that his sacrifice would satisfy the demands of Justice. He is amazing!! I am so grateful for my Savior.

Planalto :)

Hey all!! This week has been the craziest week of my whole life. Tuesday was my last day in Goiás and it was 42 degrees C. Quase morri. But now I am here in Uberlândia and the weather is perfect!! I met my  second kid and my grandkid on Wednesday so that was exciting!! I´ll put pics below. My kid is named Sister Meyer and she is from Bolivia. Its been rough with the whole I dont speak Spanish and no one speaks Portuguese thing but you know we are chilling. Found out that Sister Meyer and I have the same exact birthday!! It will be the last day of this transfer so you bet we are going to party hard.
When we got to Uberlândia Sister Resquín was there waiting for us!! It was so good to see her again wow miss that kid.
Sister Meyer and I are living in an appartment across the street from the cemetery and we live on the 3 floor so the view is amazing!! I forgot to take pics so oops. I love the appartment though, its a little weird not to live with 3 others but im loving it.
So Elders were here before we got here and I was hoping they would leave something for us to know who to visit or what to do or anything really. So I grabbed the area book and gave it a good look and what did I find? Nothing. The last thing that is in there was from when the sisters were here in March. AND they didnt leave a map behind so lets just say I am super lost. But its all good really im just chilling super hard. I love this ward though and I am super excited to be here in Planalto!!
Before I go heres a quick story. We were out talking to literally everyone on the street and we met Altivo. Turns out he had already gone to church 2 times!! for some reason he hadnt recieved the missionary lessons so we taught him the Restoration and then he came to church and then we visited him again and now he wants to be baptised on Saturday!!! What a miracle!!! Im praying that all goes well and that next week Ill have a baptism to talk about. Im excited!!
I love the gospel and my Savior!!

Tchau tchau :)

Sou Mãe pt. 2 + Sou avó :)

Hey guys what´s up!? Guess who is getting transfered for the first time?! Me! And guess who is going to be a mom again? Me!! And guess who is also going to be a grandma!? Me!! (proud mama moment). And so in other words I am going to train another newbee and Sister Negreiros is going to train too which means my trainee will train which makes me a grandma. Good stuff.
But yeah I am getting tansfered to Uberlândia and Ill open the Planalto area with my newbee. Im just a little nervous its fine. Vai dar Certo. But I am so excited for whats ahead and I am even more excited that Sister Negrieros is going to be a mom here in Trindade. :)
But this week was awesome. We had stake conference yesterday and Erick and Irmão Argentino came which was awesome!! They are progressing well and preparing to get baptised soon!! Sister Negreiros is going to take care of them for me and so I am looking forward to hear about their baptisms!
Yesterday in Stake Conference I learned a lot about how to be a better teacher.  The key is to live what you teach because actions speak much louder than words. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints we have a responsabilty to live as examples of Jesus Christ at all times. When we stand as examples those around us will be able to learn about their Savior.  That reminds me of something I heard in the MTC:  Preach the gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words.
I love the gospel and I love being a missionary and I love all of you!!!

9 Months, What?!

This week was interesting!! I just have a fun story for today. Sister Negreiros and I have 8 people that we are teaching who need to get married so we went to the Cartório to see what we can do to get these people married and baptised. We went around asking people what to do if someone wants to get married but doesnt have the money to do so. We got lots of weird looks. But the best part was when we walked up to the lady who does divorces (because 2 of our friends need to get divorced before they get married before they get baptised) and we asked about marriage and she was very uncomfortable but was overly nice. When Sister Negreiros asked about divorce the lady pointed to me and said, `you need to get divorced?`. So yeah everyone thought that sister Negreiros and I were trying to get married.
But yeah also im half way through the mission so thats tragic.
I love being a missionary. There is no greater work on the face of the earth than that of missionary work. I know that the church is true and that Heavenly Father loves his children.

Prophet Was In Brazil!

This week was incrível!!! I dont have much time so let me tell you about the highlight. The prophet was in Brazil this weekend! It was INCRÍVEL!! On Friday he spoke to all the missionaries in Brazil and I learned a lot about how to be a better missionary. He told a story about when he was in Africa meeting with a king and the King asked him what new knowledge President Nelson asked him what he knows about Jesus Christ. The king told him all about the Bible, he knew everything about our savior in the Bible. ThenPresident Nelson asked the King what he knew about what Christ did after he was ressurrected. Thats when he explained Christs ministry in the Americas that we find in 3 nephi. In the end President Nelson gave him a Book of Mormon! The king said that he could have given him diamonds and rubbies but that more knowledge about our savior was of far more worth than any worldly possesion. Its true!! I think that at times we forget how important the knowledge we have because of the book of mormon is!! we are so so so so blessed!! If you arent reading the book of mormon evey day, please start today!! It will make a difference in your life, i promise. And if you haven´t done the spiritual work necessary to know of its truthfulness, do so now. Like the prophet said in general conference, time is running out.
Also on Sunday all of Brazil got to hear from Presidente Nelson and it was yet another experience incredible. The first thing he told us is that he left his notes at home and his scriptures he left on his chair and that he was there to speak to us as a servant of the Lord, and so everything he spoke came as an impression from the Holy Ghost. He spoke mainly about the way in which we need to raise our children and strengthen our families. Reading the scriptures together is extremely important. He also let us know that getting a good education is a religious responsibility because knowledge IS the glory of God and without knowledge we are unable to help others. Oh man there is so much to say and not enough time to say it. But in the end President Nelson left us with an apostolic blessing and shared his testimony in Portuguese. and THAT was SO special.

Another Batismo!!

This week was awesome!! Lindomar got baptised on Saturday and he´s doing super great!! Sister Nunes and Sister Neves had a baptism too, so we partied hard.
Also this week we had an Elder from the quorum of the 70 come to talk to us!! It was an amazing experience, and I learned a lot about how to be an effective missionary. Also before we met with Elder Costa, the sisters met with Sister Costa and she talked about how our expectations about serving a mission and the realities of serving a mission are completely different. We talked about our dificulties and everyone cried together and it was awesome! It helped me a lot to realize that its okay that i am not a perfect missionary. Its okay that we are not perfect people because we have an imperfect body, imperfect mind, are surrounded by imperfect people and are living in an imperfect world. Don´t let the imperfections ofmortality keep you from being happy and doing your best!
Also I got to see sister Vargas and Elder Correia there and i was so happy!! I love and miss them so much haha.
That´s all for now I think. I love you all and Jesus loves you too!! Have a great week :))

Batismo!!

These past two weeks have been crazy!! Sorry I suck at emailing, mas vai dar certo. I don´t even know what to say haha I have so much to say.
But yeah Wallison and Lorrany got baptised!!! WOOHOOO they are so so so cute and are so excited to share the gospel with everyone already!! Seriously they are the most elect of all the elect that i have met. It´s amazing to see the changes they have made in their lives already, they left smoking and drinking behind and love the church and love jesus with all their hearts man I love them.
So that happened and also Im living in a house with 3 Brazilians which is a party. That´s all I can think of right now so before I go just wanna say that I love you all and I love my Savior and I know the church is true. Have a great week!!
Enjoy the pics :)
