Brownies and 6 Months!

Last Wednesday I hit my 6 months so thats crazy.

I dont have much to say this week but things are going super good!!!

Update from mom:

Emmy has grown so much and is a great example of how to work hard and rely on the Lord for strength.  Today she and Nate were able to talk with each other in their own respective languages and understand each other.  It warmed my heart to listen to their interaction.  They lifted each other up and shared the joy the gospel is bringing in their lives as well as those they are serving.

Gift of Tongues is Real

Sorry I didnt email last week, it was wild!! I honestly don´t know what to say so we´ll see what we end up with at the end of this email haha. 

Good news is that Elder Godoy of the 70 is coming to visit us tomorrow!! Our zone was asked to sing for him again so we have been practicing the past couple of weeks. He was the mission president of my mission president so needless to say my mission president is really really excited. 😋 Ill let you know how it goes!

One thing that I have learned a lot the past two weeks is how much I need to rely on the Lord to do His work. Sister Resquin and I are still trying to learn Portuguese so it is hard to communicate at times, but when the Lord needs us to communicate with each other and with our investigators it just works. I have had so many moments when I am teaching or when I am on the phone with my investigators when I dont think, I just speak. Then after I realize that I said things that I didnt know I knew how to say! The gift of tongues is real and it is extremely humbling when you feel it working through you to bless the lives of others.  I love being a missionary!!

Happiness That Lasts Forever

So today was super exciting becuase Sister Vargas decided to donate her hair!! I dont have pictures of the finished result but heres the pics from before and during the cutting of the hair :) Also the video is really good so I hope you all can watch it (if it works).

But yeah this week was really good!! Sister Resquin and I are killing it! Actually Sister Resquin and I are extremamente fraco (extremely weak), its the Lord that is doing amazing things here in Trindade II!! Six people made it to church yesterday!! Gabriel is one of them. We found him last week and have only been able to teach him once but he is one of the elect com certeza. Stay tuned for his baptism :P  

Before I go I just want to let you all know that I have a testimony of the gospel, that it is true and that it will make you happy if you live it. Not just temporary happiness, but the happiness that lasts forever. And the only reason the gospel works is because we have a Savior that made possible a remission of our sins. I know that Christ atoned for our sins, and suffered all manner of afflictions of every kind because He loves us with all his heart. We don´t need to suffer because of the hard things in our lives, Christ already paid for them! Let Him take all your worries and hurt away by using the atonement and living the way He taught us how. It works!
