Easter

Hey all I hope you had a great Easter!! Mine was super duper because we had 7 investigators make it to church and our zone practiced our song for when Elder Stevensen comes on Thursday! Presidente Bührer recieved revelation last week that the entire mission needs to be there in person to hear him speak, so I am super pumped about that! The farthest area away from where it will be is 11 hours by bus, so it must be something important for all the missionaries in the entire mission to need to be there for. I´ll let you all know how it goes next week :)
Because I dont have much time this week again I just want to end with my testimony that I know that Christ lives. He is our Savior. I am so grateful for him because with out him it would be impossible to have eternal happiness and life would be pointless. BUT because of Him eternal happiness and progression is possible. I love Him so much.

Love Sister Richins

pic of me and Sister Christensen cuz i saw her again on Saturday at a training meeting and i love her

Love My Mission

Not much happened this week! Was a normal week working in the Lord´s vinyard :)
Actually there is one thing super exciting!! Elder Stevenson one of the 12 apostles is coming to visit on the 25th! Our zone got chosen by Presidente Buhrer to perform a special musical number for him at a special meeting with just the missionaries in the Goiânia Mission and him! we are singing the Army of Helaman song in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I am so excited!!
I don´t have time to say much else, but I love my mission and am so grateful for my savior and this gospel. Its so true and it makes me so happy!!
I love you all and hope you all have a great week!!

Sou Muito Grata Pelo Nosso Profeta!!

This week was quite possibly the best week of my life. I have so many things to say but I don´t have the words or time to say them all!! I´ll tell you all the most important stuff :)
A tender moment: We met the daughter of one of our investigators this week. Her name is Gleci, and she lives with her husband and their little boy. We taught her about the Book of Mormon, and told her that she can pray to know if it is true for herself. She told us about how her husband doesnt believe in God and doesn´t like it when she talks about Him or prays. She has tried to tell him that God is real because there is no possible way that life could have been an accident and there is no way humans used to be monkeys. He never listens to her, so as a result, she hasn´t prayed to God for a long long time, and didn´t know how. So we helped her say a prayer. She didn´t say much and I could tell she was uncertain and a little uncomfortable, but she just started to cry! I can´t imagine how she felt to speak to her Loving Heavenly Father for the first time in a long time, but I know that He heard her simple prayer. And I know the spirit helped her feel that God is aware of her. It was a sweet experience.
This week was full of dissapointments, but also full of miracles! Our dear Maria said she doesnt want us to visit her anymore and she doesnt want to get baptized anymore. Broke my heart! It especially hurt because she has told us over and over again how much she loves the Book of Mormon and she bore her testimony to us many times that she knows it is true. She knows this church is true, yet still denied it. But we for sure planted a huge seed so I have hope that she will come back some day soon.
The biggest miracle of the week was when we went back to an investigator we tought a month ago, just to see how he was doing. He wants to be baptized!! We are planning to have his baptism this week :))
Also today is transfers and nothing is changing, God hears and answers prayers!! Ill be with sister Love in Trindade until the end of her mission (14 de Maio) And I am officially out of training so WOOT WOOT here goes week 13!!
Oh, and conference was the best thing on the planet. I loved  all the talks!! Sister love and I watched it in a little office at the stake center in English while everyone else watched in the chapel in portuguese haha. President Nelson gave a fire talk so if any of you missed it, you best be giving it a quick listen. Eu sei que ele é realmente O Profeta de Deus aqui na terra em estes últimos dias. Sou muito grata pelo nosso profeta!!
Thats all i have time for today! Always remember: Se guardares os mandamentos de Deus, prosperarás na terra. (Inasmuch as ye keep the commandments of God, ye shall prosper in the land).
I love you all so much!! Have a great week, and dont forget to study the words of living prophets and apostles!!

Emmy In Charge!

Let´s start off with a story:
On Wednesday we had lunch with a member who came to church for the first time since October and is wanting to become active again. Her name is Paloma. She lives just barely outside of my area boundaries, so it was a long bus ride to get there, it took 2 hours! The whole time I was stressing out because I had made an appointment to visit a reference with a member at 3h30 that afternoon. Then when we got off the ônibus we didn´t know where she lived and I was in charge of getting us there so I was stressing even more. So basically it took forever to get to Paloma´s house and nothing was working out the way I had planned it. ( I was in charge of everything this week as part of training so yeah I was on my own the entire week without any help from my trainer and i have never been so stressed in my entire life haha).  When we finally made it to her house I was only focussed on eating quickly and hurrying on to the appointment I had scheduled with a member. After I shared a quick message with her, I thanked her for the food and was ready to hurry on out of there to get to work. Before we left Irmã Paloma told us that it really means a lot that we were so grateful for the food she made for us. She said that she doesnt have much money and had to make sacrifices to buy the food, but has a lot of faith that the Lord will bless her for feeding His servants. And the food she gave us wasnt much, but it was the best she had. It was so humbling! I know God will bless her and i am so grateful for her example :)
i am out of time so thats all for this week. love you all!!!
