Mother's Day 2019

Mother's Day 2019!  First time since September 2018 they have all been able to see each other and talk...for a full 40 minutes!  It was AWESOME!!!

BATISMO!! And TRANSFERS!!!

First of all I got to talk to my fam yesterday for Mother's Day and my little bro Nick read his mission call to Nate, Mike, and I and WOOHOOO he´s going to Florida and will be speaking Hatian Creole!!!!! I´m so excited, congrats Nick!!! 

This week was amazing!!! Sister Love and I went big so she could go home :P  Her last Saturday on the mission we had the baptism of Moasir!!! WHOOHOO. He is one of the elect and was an answer to many prayers and much fasting. 3 weeks ago he came to church before we even had a chance to teach him a lesson. We found out he had been reading the book of mormon we left with his mom a month ago every day!  WOAH. His baptsim was really special too. Before he was baptised he was really nervous, and i mean really really nervous. We told him that it is completely normal to be nervous, and even good because of he wasn´t nervous that would mean his baptism isnt very important to him. But he knows how important his baptism is so thats why he was nervous. After the ordinance I asked him how he felt and he said `light` and told me that all the nervousness he was feeling before got washed away in the water and he was so happy!! we told him ´just wait for tomorrow when you get the holy ghost, its gunna be amazing!` And let me tell you , it was amazing. After he was confirmed he sat next to me, i said congrats, and he shook my hand with the hugest smile on his face that I have ever seen. He is going to be a huge blessing to the Branch!!

Also TRANSFERS! Ill be staying here in trindade with Sister Resquin!! She is from Paraguay and she got to the mission the same day I did so we are both still working on our portuguese so its gunna be a party!! This morning I had to say goodbye to Sister Love and it was the saddest thing ever. But Im excited to show sister Resquin all of our investigators and our area!!

Muito Bom!!

This week was muito bom!! Today is sister Loves last Pday on the mission and we are going to party!! So, really quick I´d like to leave with you my testimony and some pictures :) Have a great week everyone!! And don´t worry, Ill have lots to say next week 😊

Eu sei que Deus é nosso Pai Celestial e que ele nos ama tanto. Ele criou O Plano de Salvação para que nos podemos voltar a presença Dele. Jesus Cristo é O Salvador do mundo e Ele expiou por nossos pecados e por causa de Ele, O Plano funciona. Eu sei que nós temos grande valor em os olhos de Deus porque todos somos Seus filhos. Eu sei que O Livro de Mórmon é a palavra de Deus e ele é o livro mais correto na face da terra. Eu sei que esta Igreja realmente é a Igreja de Jesus Cristo e que ela é verdadeira. Eu amo o evangelho. Eu amo meu Salvador. E eu amo cada um de vocês!! 

I know that God is our Heavenly Father and that He loves us so much. He created The Plan of Salvation so that we can return to His presence. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and He atoned for our sins and because of Him, The Plan works. I know we have great value in the eyes of God because we are all His children. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it is the most correct book on the face of the earth. I know that this Church really is the Church of Jesus Christ and that it is true. I love the gospel. I love my Savior. And I love each one of you !!

Elder Stevenson Experience

So the most exciting thing this week was when Elder Stevenson came to speak to our mission! It was AMAZING. Ill give you a quick play by play of the day:

First our uber driver got lost. When we finally made it to the church we got out of the car and he drove away and then we found out that he dropped us off at the wrong church. So, we called another uber and made it to the right church an hour and a half late. During that second uber ride I had the worst case of FOMO (fear of missing out)  that I have ever had in my entire life haha! But dont worry guys, we didnt miss Elder Stevenson, just missed our song practice, so it all worked out okay. 

Second, I got to shake his hand!! I was really nervous though so this is what happened:

**Shakes Elder Stevensons hand**

Elder Stevenson: Sister Richins, how are you?

Me: Good!

**Moves on to shake sister Stevensons hand**

Sister Stevenson: And where are you from?

Me: Murray, Utah!

Sister Stevenson: Oh! So we are neighbors!

**forgets how to speak english**

Me: Que Legal!! (how cool!!)

**quickly moves on to shake president Bührers hand**

**forgets how to speak portuguese**

Presidente Bührer: Como você está?

Me: Estão bem! (They are well!)

**walks away quickly because wow that was a mess** 

So yeah there you have it! even though I forgot how to speak it was still an incredible experience!! When Elder Stevenson walked in the room it was silent and i had the sudden urge to cry the spirit was so strong!! I know that he is an apostle of God, and the spirit confirmed that to me many times when he was speaking to us, and I learned SO much from him. I just cant even tell you guys it was such an amazing experience.
