Gift of Tongues

This morning I was studying in 2 nefi chapters 31 and 32. foi muito bom!! The thought that I want to share is that the gospel is so simple and so clear, because God doesnt want to confuse his children, He just wants us to come home. 2 nefi 31:3 says- For my soul delighteth in plainess; for after this manner doth the Lord God work among the children of men...for He speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding. I love this because He has told us exactly what we need to to in order to gain eternal life with our Father in Heaven. We need faith in Christ, to be baptized, recieve the gift of the holy ghost, and endure to the end. Its that simple! I love that Heavenly Father gives us all the tools we need to be successful, we just have to use them. I love him, I love the gospel, and I love being a missionary!!

This week I got to teach an atheist man and it was interesting. I poured out my heart to him about the restoration and joseph smith, but his heart was so hard that he was beyond feeling. it was all an interesting experience, but a wonderful experience where I felt the power of God working through me and my tongue was loosed to say the things I needed to say (in portuguese). haha I wish I could explain more but I gotta go! haha

One Month in Trindade!!

 Hey all I just found out that THE Ashton Hatch got called to the Sao Paulo East Mission and I am STOKED. 

This week in the feild was super duper!! I had my third split this week ( I go on splits every week because my trainer is the STL) I was with Sister Melo from Brazil in my area so i got to take the lead for a day. It was super awesome and we found some great people and i have to go now sorry guys. Have a great week!!! I love you all

Batismos!!

OI tudo mundo!! Desculpe for not emailing these past couple of weeks! But WOW they have been great!! on Saturday I had my first baptisms and it was the best thing in the whole entire world. We baptised a mom, Lucicleia, and her 2 daughters, Karen e KahEnna. their dad, sival, was able to baptize them! It was honestly a miracle that they got baptized because the missionaries have been teaching them since october. It took two lessons for me and sister Love to help them see that they need to be baptized, especially because they knew the church was true the whole time, they just didnt want to be baptized. BUT after lots of prayers and fasting (dont worry mom, we still have to drink water while we fast so we dont die) they said yes to baptism! and they are so happy! ahh. this gospel is amazing and everything is awesome.

so this week was tope de mais!! (the best of the best). can you believe tomorrow is my 2 month mark!? WOW.

Dad, sometimes while im walking in the exteme heat i randomly think about how cole got so excited at the grizzlies game when yall won free food and it makes me laugh so thanks for sharing that with me haha. also has nick ended my youtube premium subscription?  and can you send more pics? of bear too? haha. 

Everything is going well for me. the hardest things are the language and not falling asleep during the lessons haha. I am SO tired. its awesome.

Oh! we had our investigator come to church with us yesterday and it was awesome!! his name is Jailton.

Idk what else to  say haha.

oh, everyday i wake up, work out, study til luch time, eat luch at a members house, then work from 2 to 9! there is a lot of work to do here! when i get home i eat dinner cuz i havent eaten since lunch and im starving. then i go to bed and do it all again. I LOVE IT. and i only wear pants and my sandals. and not even my slacks cuz they dont fit lol. i wear those pants from costco everyday and they are too big on me so i look rediculous but they are light and comfy so its okay. love you so much!!!!!!!!!
